Musasizi Simon Peter Bukenya is a development-focused leader, engineer, and community advocate dedicated to creating sustainable opportunities for vulnerable children, families, and communities. Born and raised in Uganda and currently based in the Netherlands, he brings both local insight and international perspective to his work in community development and social impact.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where he developed strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills. His academic and professional background enables him to approach community challenges with innovative thinking and sustainable solutions.
As Programs Director at Unity Works Foundation, Simon leads program development, project implementation, strategic partnerships, and resource mobilization efforts. He works closely with stakeholders, partners, and communities to ensure that the Foundation’s initiatives are impactful, responsive to local needs, and aligned with its mission of transforming lives through care, education, empowerment, and community support.
Passionate about education, youth empowerment, and sustainable development, Simon believes that lasting change is achieved through collaboration, innovation, and community-driven solutions. Through his leadership, he remains committed to strengthening opportunities for vulnerable populations and helping build a future where every child, mother, and family can thrive with dignity, hope, and opportunity.
